Not every yard is flat and easy. Some properties throw rocks, slopes, and tight corridors at you - and that's exactly what we were working with here. The ground was uneven, rocky, and required careful post placement just to get things started on the right foot.

That's where the planning really matters. Before a single board goes up, you have to think through how the fence line is going to follow the terrain without looking sloppy or uneven. We set each post to account for the grade change, so the finished fence runs clean and consistent even as the ground drops away beneath it.

We went with 5-foot cedar for a reason. Cedar holds up well over time, takes stain beautifully, and has a natural look that fits right into a wooded, residential neighborhood like this one. Once the boards were up, we finished everything with a stain that ties in with the surrounding fences and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. That kind of attention to the neighborhood aesthetic is something we think about on every job.

The end result is a fence that feels like it belongs there - not like it was dropped in and forced to fit. Solid posts, clean lines, and a finish that's built to handle the elements season after season. That's what custom fence installation should look like.
